Ministry of Silly Suits
The Ministry of Silly Suits is a cosplay group from North Mississippi consisting of a group of close friends. The group was formed in 2008 but some of the members have been active in the cosplaying and convention scene since 2004. The Ministry has won seventeen awards overall. They have held an interactive cosplay event at a convention, and spoken to younger cosplayers at their local library. ” “Rynil is a 29 year old gamer and costumer that lives in Mississippi with her three cats. Considering that she’s always been interested in art, it’s no surprise that she would enjoy the craft of making costumes. She has won four awards as a sewer, prop maker, and wig stylist and has been cosplaying and going to cons since 2004. She works as a cake decorator and does wig commissions on the side under the name Anterior Adornments. Rynil is the leader of the Ministry of Silly Suits and loves doing costumes in groups.” “Emi is one of the Ministry of Silly Suits’s best seamstresses who has come a long way from her days of hand sewing most of her costumes. She has been making costumes since 2003 and has won 11 awards in costume competitions. What makes cosplay so enjoyable to Emi is the recreation of a character in a real life setting and making others smile with her work. Emi works as a Graphic Designer at a tee shirt making company at Girlie Girl Originals. She enjoys challenging herself with more difficult costumes with each competition she enters to improve her skills as a seamstress and cosplayer.
Cami Roebuck, otherwise known as MoodHairCosplays, is an award winning cosplayer, crafter, and all around geek hailing from the southeastern part of the United States.
Cami dove into the wonderful world of convention going and cosplaying at the ripe age of 7, attending her first con (Dragon*Con) and donning her first cosplay (Rogue from the X-Men) she fell in love with the amazing community of costumed cool kids and never wanted to leave it.
Now 19 years old, Cami has been cosplaying for 13 years and counting, but it’s been in the last 5 years that she’s been building her handle and making her place in the world of geekery, turning MoodHairCosplays into her own modeling and crafting business with the help of her ever supportive family, taking up roles on the MoodHairCosplays team.
Cami works at both prop making and sewing, and takes great charge in costume designing and planning. Together, the family unit travels to conventions all over the place, often hosting and judging costume contests, running their own booth and selling geek themed handmade goods under the name of their other business, a branch of MoodHairCosplays, The MHC Workshop.
